A'Pieu Sweet Melon Sheet Mask

I have been feeling meh about reviewing masks lately so I have been grabbing ones that I have reviewed before. However, last night, I decided I wanted to try something different instead of the same old mask. I decided to grab the A'pieu Sweet Melon Sheet Mask. I have tried this mask before and I remember liking it. But I figure, it's been a while, it is technically a new mask right?

I do apologize for the dog pictures. But my dog refused to leave me alone and let me take some photos of the mask until he is photographed with it. I guess he wanted to show off his modelling skills. 😂😂 And it's just wrong not to use them after taking so many to satisfy the little bugger.

I got this from TesterKorea for about $1 + shipping for a pack for three. I think some sites are still selling these but at a pretty inflated price in my opinion.
The mask is purported to be 100% cotton, and it is slightly thicker than the thin masks I usually use. The mask is soaked in a clear essence that has this WONDERFUL sweet scent of honeydew. It's definitely artificial, but it reminds me of these Japanese honeydew and milk candy. It's wonderful. I love it. It also not too strong and doesn't linger so it wouldn't kill your nose. There wasn't too much extra essence but I am okay with that.
The fit for the mask was meh for me. It was fine on the forehead, but it was definitely too small on the side for my chubby cheeks. It left a good portion of the side of my face exposed, which is too bad.

I had the mask on for 30 minutes, even though the instructions said 10 to 20 minutes. The mask was still moist and I had extra essence left on my skin. The extra essence sunk in relatively quickly and it didn't leave my skin tacky. Once it is fully sunk in, my skin felt dewy to the touch which is what I am always looking for in a mask.

The back of the package is all in Korean so I have no idea what it is supposed to do. But according to online searches, it is supposed to refresh, moisturize and brighten the skin. My skin definitely felt refreshed and moisturized. As for brighten, well I never notice brightening, so that's a moot point.

Here is the CosDNA which has the ingredients list.
Overall, I really quite like the mask! I like the sweet scent, since it's not overpowering or too artificial smelling. I like how it made my skin feel dewy to the touch. I can overlook the fact that it doesn't cover all of my face given that it is $1 for three masks. I really hope there are more of these masks out there. If not, I guess I can reminisce about it with the melon hand cream from the same line. 😃

  1. Hi! I stumbled upon your blog looking up a few reviews and ended up reading a few more - I have the impression that we have similar skin types, and may be living in similar environments (East Asia - hot, humid, people sweat etc etc).

I recently moved to an East Asian Country and having trouble taking care of my skin/new needs. I would love to talk to you about skincare more, if you don't mind over email? :) (My skin needs help T_T )

    Thank you :3

    1. Hi there,

      Thanks for reading!

I am not sure what type of skin you have but mine is normal but dehydrated. :) And I live in North America in a very dry and cold environment. I haven't lived in East Asia for a long time, so I am not sure what skincare would be good. But I am always up for a chat. :) You can DM me on IG, and my email is listed there too. ^_^
