[SOYBIO+] - Fermented Shampoo

One of the more interesting products I received from Skinvestment's Beauty Date x MTL event was the SoyBio+ Fermented Shampoo! I haven't tried much Korean shampoos before but it sounded very interesting after Daint/Carmen's review of it!

This is a natural shampoo that is designed for everyone, including babies and pregnant women. It is designed to help nourish the scalp, strengthen the roots, lower scalp heat and hair loss. This sounds perfect for me since I have thinning hair with dry scalp but oily roots! I actually purchased this shampoo from Daint, because her review made me really interested in trying it! So I was pleasantly surprised to find another tube in my goodies bag!

The packaging for the shampoo is very simple. White tube and black lettering. Simple and to the point.

** As per the usual, I received this product free from the company but all opinions expressed in this post are my own. **

The ingredients list is:

CosDNA indicates that there is Laureth-23 which is a low acne trigger. But because it is so low on the ingredients list, it shouldn't be too much of a bother.

The shampoo itself is semi-transparent with a tinge of white. It has a herbal scent to it. I don't know how to describe it, but I am assuming that is the fermented soybean extract. I also smell a little floral note to it, and it could possibly be the lavender water. Seeing how I dislike anything lavender, this actually smells okay.

The instruction says to lather the shampoo and massage onto the scalp. It would give your scalp a tingling sensation to let you know it is working. And it apparently also works as a body wash.

I use about a quarter sized of this shampoo for each use and it was more than enough. I lather it in my hands and it starts foaming almost immediately. Heck, the picture I have is just from me rubbing the shampoo back and forth in my palm. It foamed up quite a bit just by itself! Imagine what happens with water!

Honestly, the quarter sized portion works very well for me. It produces a lot of foam while in my palm. It creates even more when I massage it onto my scalp! I noticed that it is quite good in cleansing the scalp and hair, as I only need to use it twice when it is SUPER dirty. I don't get the tingling sensation, but I feel smell and feel coolness whenever I use it. My scalp also feels quite cool and lighter as if it can breath a little better after I rinse it off. It almost feels like I did a scalp sccaling treatment! I love it when I don't need to do separate steps!

I only used the shampoo a handful times and I like it but not love it to be honest. I like how I don't need to use too much product at once to lather and rinse. It leaves my scalp feeling refreshed and clean and my hair feels soft after it dries. But I also kind of feel like it's not so spectacular that I am going to rush to get another tube at the regular price. I think I need to use this for a longer period, and perhaps through winter, in order to see its performance. I am thankful I got to try the product though. I think I have more than enough to last the next year!

Thank you to SoyBio+ and Dain for providing it to me to try!
