Elizavecca Skincare Set Season 2

Okay, so Memebox broke up with the rest of the world. So why am I still posting my boxes? Well.. I ordered my last two boxes using my review points and would like to post the items I got. So.. I am not helping promote Memebox but rather posting about the items I have received. 

This is the Elizavecca Skincare Set Season 2, it was on sale for $48 with free shipping. It's now reduced by $3 to $45 with free shipping. I was slightly sad on missing out on set #1 where they had the snail cream. I was contemplating whether to get it or not as it's only 4 items and it's quite expensive at $48. Plus, I already have the Water Coating Aqua Brightening Mask. But after looking into how much the Hyaluronic Acid and Galacytomyces Essence retails for, and a 10% off value set coupon from Memebox. I decided to bite the bullet and use up all of my review points for this box. 

First impression: The Hyaluronic Acid is HUGE! 

Water Coating Aqua Brightening Mask

Thoughts: I already have one of these from my first order at RoseRoseShop. I like the mask quite a bit. It's light and I love slathering it on at the last step of my skincare routine. It makes my skin soft and supple in the morning. Though it really doesn't provide enough moisture for those super dry and cold winter days. 

Memebox said to leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. But I always just use it as a sleeping pack. I think I'll continue to use it as a sleeping pack as it seems to be wasteful to wash it off after it sinks in.

Blackhead Solution 3-step

Thoughts: I actually have a post planned for Holika Holika piggy nose 3 step. It's a similar product as this. I actually find the whole process really time consuming and the results to be similar to a nose strip.. Oops spoiler alert! 

Anyways, this will just go into the box with the other nose strips I received from Memebox. Probably the only item in this box I won't be using.

100% Galacytomyces Essence

Product Description: This 100% galactomyces-infused ampoule instantly revives dull skin and provides intense hydrating and skin-repairing benefits to the skin. One use softens and evens the skin texture to give a natural glow and youthful radiance. 

Thoughts: galactomyces filtrate is basically fermented yeast extract. I have seen raves about how effective yeast extract is. The most famous ones are the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and Missha First Treatment Essence. The yeasts they use are from the saccharomyces family, but are yeast nonetheless. 

 The galactomyces ampoule is light and clear, just like water. As you can see on the picture, it looks like I dropped water on the back of my hand instead an ampoule. I was expecting it to have some sort yeasty smell to it, but it's actually got a floral smell. So I wonder if Elizavecca added some perfume to the solution. Or the galactomyces are supposed to smell like this.

The ampoule absorbs quickly into my skin. I left it on, looked at my computer for a minute before rubbing it in, and it was already absorbed. My skin felt super soft afterward it's absorbed. I couldn't believe it. I thought perhaps it's due to my finger touching the solution so it's soft touching soft. So I used my knuckle and the back of my other hand to touch the spot. The result was the same. It was soft!! I cant wait to use this on my face and have skin as soft as a baby's bottom!

Memebox recommend to use it in place of an ampoule/serum, but am I suppose to use a toner beforehand?! They also recommend mixing it with moisturizer to maximize the products.

Edit: I was supposed to hold off on using this but I just couldn't wait. I used a toner beforehand and applied the ampoule. It absorbed quickly. I rushed to get everything onto my face before it is absorbed by my hands. This in addition with the H-acid made my skin soo soft and my pores appeared to be minimized.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum 100%

Product Description: This hyaluronic serum rapidly rescues skin from the visible signs of aging and replenishes youthful volume from the inside out and stimulates the skin's natural production of hyaluronic acid for lasting results, and protects the skin from environmental damage. Use to smooth away facial wrinkles and lines, correct aging skin, restore skin suppleness, and prevent the formation of new lines and wrinkles. 

Thoughts: Anything hyaluronic acid just gets my attention. I love hyaluronic acid and this was pretty much THE selling point of this box to me. So I was pleasantly surprised at how big it is! This is going to last me a long time!

The serum is thick. I could tell it was thick as there were bubbles trapped in the middle of the bottle that would not move to the top at all. When I tried to pour it out, I had to hold the entire bottle upside down and wait a minute or two before placing the drop on to the back of my hand. It is slightly too watery to be a gel but too thick to be a solution. 

It barely had a smell. I stuck my nose at the opening and couldn't smell anything at all. Yes for non scented products! 

Just one tiny drop, and it was more than enough for the entire back of my hand. It sinks in nicely after I rubbed it in. The back of my hand is so soft! I couldn't feel a large difference with my fingertip. But when I used my knuckle, the difference is huge! Where the H-acid was applied, it was soft and smooth. Where it was bare, the skin felt really rough compared to the applied area. When I looked at the skin under direct light, I could see the lines on the applied area appears to much finer than the bare area. I can't wait to use this with the Galacytomyces serum on my face! Maybe I can finally have that baby soft skin. 

Edit: So as above, I decided to use the H-acid in addition to the galacytomyces serum and I absolutely love the result. I only needed two drops of the serum to cover all of my face. It barely had any smell and it sinks in quickly. Like I said, my skin felt so soft afterwards. It stayed moisturized despite the dry winter weather outside and I skipped a sleeping pack to see how well it would keep in the moisture. My skin is so soft even after 3 days. I am so happy.. I may have already bought another set to make sure I have back up of the H-acid since I couldn't find on their website anymore.. 

Edit #2: I have been using the H-acid as a really thick essence after my toner. So I pour out a big glob of it, and slather it on my face in a thick layer. It gets absorbed in a couple of minutes and then I apply my serum with the Galactomyces essence mixed in and slather that on thickly too. I have been doing that for two weeks now, since I moved to my new place where there is no built in humidifier.. That has been really drying for my skin. While the H-acid and the galactomyces does not provide sufficient moisture to my skin, though I don't blame it on the essences, but rather the environment. It's been so dry, I get multiple static shocks even just touching my dog. It takes layers upon layers of moisturizers and sheet masks and thick sleeping packs to keep my skin hydrated for a day. Not counting the cups upon cups of water I drink every night... So I can't discount the essences' hydrating powers purely based on the situation. But I have noticed my skin have gotten softer. It used to be really silky so when you try to pinch my skin, you can't get a good grip at all. I want dewy skin where when you pinch the cheeks it's soft like a baby's butt and you can feel the skin is well moisturized. After two weeks, I noticed my skin is softer, I can actually pinch my skin and feel the skin to be soft. It's not soft as a baby's butt yet, but at least it's a lot softer than before! I really think the essence and the H-acid helped a lot! So glad I picked up a second set. 

Final Thoughts: This was one expensive box for only 4 items. But considering I really like Elizavecca and is quite impressed with two of the new products. I really like this box. Glad I chose a good box.
