Masks #8 - Hydrogels

So I had a small stash of hydrogel masks that I just haven't tried at all. I decided to try them after I fell in love with my SNP hydrogel eye patches. Boyyyy did that lead to some crazy hydrogel shopping spree.. Hehe...

Memebox Mememask
I got the Mememask in one of my boxes, back when they still shipped internationally, as an apology gift for delaying shipping or something. Anyways, if you are in the States, Korea or China you will be able to get one from the respective Memebox website. Unfortunately for us internationals, I have no idea where to get them. Maybe request them from TesterKorea?

Anyways, I held off on using the Mememask as Memebox and I did not part ways on a friendly note. But once I started on hydrogels I had to give it a go.

 Ingredients: As per the package.

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Cprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Polysorbate 20, Phenyl Trimethicone, Cellulose Gum, Phenoxyethnaol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Polglutamic Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Chamomilia Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Adanosonia Digitata Seed Extract, Potassium Hydroxide.

As soon as I opened the package, I get a big punch of ginger and then a light floral smell. Thankfully it wasn't too bothersome and I can continue to use it.

This mask, like most hydrogels, comes in two parts. Each piece is sandwiched between two sheets of pearl paper to prevent it from sticking together and making it easier for the user to remove and apply the mask. Though I think it just causes so much excess garbage and is ineffective. My mask slipped in the packaging so when I took it out, it was already half way out. I ended up just taking off both backings and applied it using a mirror.
The mask felt thin and wet to the touch but it wasn't dripping in essence. There wasn't much left in the package once I took out the mask.

There was no clear instruction as to which side of the mask I am supposed to apply against my skin. Though I can tel there was a smooth side and a mesh side. So I just put the smooth side side against my face, since it's most likely where all the essence is.

The mask fits my face well, there was slight overlapping around the cheek area and there could be more for the jawline. But once I smoothed it out, the mask stayed put. It didn't budge at all. That I am impressed with.

After about 20 minutes, the mask felt thinner to the touch. I took it off after 45 minutes as it started to feel dry in the upper lip and jawline area. I can tell it was time to take it off by the touch of the mask. It is no longer wet and soft to touch, but rather plasticky. Once I took it off, there wasn't much extra essence on my face except for the forehead. Guess that area needs more time to absorb it all in. My face doesn't feel sticky to the touch which is a plus. My face felt tighter and my skin tone looked brighter.

I liked how the Mememask stayed on my face and it does make my skin feel moisturized. But it takes too much effort to buy one unless you are in China, Korea or United States. So I probably won't buy this in the future.

Sally's Box Delight Ceramide Hydrogel Mask

I believe I got this hydrogel mask in a pack of 3 from one of the Thanksgiving boxes from Memebox. It includes Ceramide, Panthenol and Collagen. I have linked it to SokoGlam! above as TK has it listed as $6 for a single mask, whereas its official website only has it listed as $3.50. Yikes, that mark up.. I wonder if it's a $2.50 domestic shipping fee that they included in the price. *This is where I have a problem with TK, they often include domestic shipping fee in the list price. So if you were to buy enough products from the same brand to get free domestic shipping, TK would still charge you that domestic shipping fee on each product.. Those shipping fee on each item are then pure profit to them... That's why it may be better in those instances to go with a buying service instead. *
 Ingredients: As per the package.

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Chondrus crispus (Carrageenan), Cellulose Gum, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Polysorbate 20, Mannan, Octyldodecanol, Trideceth-6, Portulaca Grandiflora Extract, Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Metricaria) FLower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Jasminum Officinate (Jasmine) Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Allantoin, Ceramide 3 (1.25mg), Sodium Hyaluronate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, CI 19140, CL 15985

Um dos the last two ingredients mean they are colours???????

My skin was feeling crappy that day and I didn't want to use something hydrating but rather something to calm it down. Since this one is supposed to turn my exhausted skin into healthy skin, I thought I would give it a try.
First impression was HOLY COW THIS THING STINKS! It's a very chemical smell that penetrated my nose as soon as I opened it. It is less strong after you take it out but it lingers. In fact, it lingered on my skin after I took it off. I would say it smells like cheap perfume that uses a lot of alcohol, like this Playboy perfume my friend got from Walmart. Just yuck.

The mask comes in two pieces, similar to the Mememask, it has two plastic backings. I followed the instruction, removed the thicker plastic first. Placed the mask on my face using the thinner piece as a guidance on where the mask is sitting. Though, that's dependent on if your mask slipped out of its backings. I would just remove them both and use a mirror. So much easier. Especially when dealing with hydrogels with a mesh to hold its shape.
The mask didn't fit my face properly. I moved it a few times but it just won't sit properly. I tried to move the jaw area as far down as I can but then the chin area pops up. The mask didn't reach my forehead, leaving about a finger's width of skin exposed. As well as my jawline, there was about two fingers' width of exposed skin. BUT.. there was SO much on the nose.. It seriously folded over and covered my nose so I couldn't even breathe without the flap covering my nostrils.  It looked like I had snots coming out of my nose. Yuck. I had to flip it up just so I can breathe.
Excuse the close up of my face, but this is how ridiculously long the nose piece was.
I took it off after 45 minutes. I just couldn't handle it anymore. The essence sunk is slowly, taking about another 30 minutes to fully sink in and stop feeling sticky. That smell was STILL on my skin. Yuck.

My skin was noticeably bouncier after everything sunk in. The next morning, my skin looked plumper, pores looked smaller and my skin appeared to be more even. I was impressed with the results! However, due to its smell, CRAZY long nose piece, and the fact that it's hard to find, I will not be repurchase it.

Innisfree Berry Hydro Gel Mask
So I got this mask during my whole "I NEED more hydrogels in my life!" purchase from TK. I decided to try it the night I got it home from the post office as Innisfree was having a half off shipping event that week. I wanted to see if I liked it enough to warrant a haul from Innisfree. *spoiler alert* I didn't.
 Ingredients: As per the package.

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Chondrus crispus (Carrageenan), Cellulose Gum, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Polysorbate 20, Mannan, Octyldodecanol, Trideceth-6, Portulaca Grandiflora Extract, Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Metricaria) FLower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Jasminum Officinate (Jasmine) Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Allantoin, Ceramide 3 (1.25mg), Sodium Hyaluronate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, CI 19140, CL 15985

The mask has a very light floral smell, kind of a generic skincare smell. I don't know how to describe it besides generic. It was not dripping in essence or anything but enough to keep the mask moist.

I found the mask to be kind of stiff, it doesn't hug my face as well as the others. I think that was the general consensus online as well regarding how stiff it was. The fit wasn't the best, my jawline was pretty exposed.

I had this big angry bump on my face and the essence actually stung it when I put it on. It took a few minutes before it stopped stinging. I can't remember exactly how long I had it on because it was kind of late and I just wanted to sleep. But I know it was over 30 minutes. I took it off after the edges started to dry and I can feel the mesh on the surface. There was no excess essence on my skin but my skin feels a little sticky.

As for results, I honestly cannot remember. It moisturized my skin as any masks will do. But I most likely didn't see any results or else I would have written it down or it's stuck in my mind. All that I can remember is that it didn't impress me at all and put me off from buying any hydrogels during Innisfree's sale.

Skinfood Marine Food Gel Mask in Oyster
I got these from TK but I think it's cheaper if you get it from Jolse as you only pay $1.40 more for shipping. They just released this line of hydrogel masks a few months ago, and there are few flavours in this line. However, there is no discernible difference between each flavour's purpose. All of them has the same blurb on the back. I know, I compared all five flavours together.

Ingredients: Unfortunately it's all in Korean and Google Translate didn't help :(

When I opened the package, no smell wafted out of it. I stuck my nose right in there and took a big whiff. It has a faint perfume smell that I would say it's something I smelled quite often in skincare. But since it was light it wasn't too bothersome.

This mask came with a stiff pearl paper and a thinner softer pearl paper. So it's a similar deal withe the other hydrogels and Lovemore silk masks. Just take off the stiffer one and use the softer one as a guide to where the hydrogel is sitting on your face. Or if you are like me, it's may be easier to just remove all the backings and use a mirror to put it on. These are mesh too so they won't tear that easily if you move them around on your face.
The fit was...... I honestly think my face isn't suited for hydrogel masks. It's pretty good with sheet masks, but with hydrogels I keep on having problems. The upper portion's fit was okay but it didn't reach all the way to my hairline. So a part of my forehead was exposed. The lower portion... I have so much problem with lower portion of hydrogels. It barely reached my jawline. I tried to move it around and push it down so it would cover it, but that just caused it to tent up. The upper lip area also falls off nonstop. I ended up busting out the silicone mask cover from Daiso in an attempt to help keep it in. That didn't help at all, the upper area kept on falling out of the mask cover and just want to part ways with my face.

Because I had the silicone mask cover on, I had the mask on for a REALLY long time. I had it on for an hour with the silicone cover. The mask was still super moist despite being on the thin side. So I left it on for another hour without cover and it was still super moist to the touch! Wow.. But by that time it was almost 2AM and I had to sleep. So I took it off and just went to bed with a sticky face.

By next morning and I was pleasantly surprised when I looked in my mirror. My skin was bright and I had nice even skin tone. The little breakouts on my forehead was much calmer. My skin felt super bouncy to the touch. I couldn't stop playing with my cheeks.

I don't like the fit of these masks but I quite like the result! I will have to save these for when I have 3 to 4 hours to spare so all of the essence can sink into my skin. Or when my skin is just really need that extra punch of moisture. Will definitely repurchase these.

*side note* Using the silicone cover made me wonder how much of the essence on masks does our skin really absorb and how much is be evaporated???

Tonymoly Intense Care Fugu Collagen Hydro Gel Mask

So I got this from a H Mart in Vancouver when I was there on vacation. I just really wanted a hydrogel mask so my lovely friend took me to H Mart and waited patiently while I picked out a mask. I was deciding between the Aquaporin which cost about $4 or the Fugu Collagen one. But I knew I had the Aquaporin one coming from TK so I decided to go with the more expensive Fugu Collagen one. It was hella expensive!! $9 after GST + PST. Just wow.. Thankfully RRS has it cheaper but once you factor in shipping and currency exchange it is not much difference.
 Ingredients: As per the package.

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Ceratonia, Siliqua Gum, Disodium EDTA, Betaine, Cellulose Gum, Polysorbate 20, Polyacrylate-14, Olive Oil Glycereth-8 Esters, Mineral Oil, Dimethicone, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Methylparaben, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Soluble Collagen (100ppm), Sodium Polyacrylate, Pearl Extract, Laminara Japonica Extract, Laminarla Digitata Extract, Sea Water, Squalene, Fragrance, Cl 42090

Uh oh, it's got mineral oil in the ingredient list. It's halfway down the list but if your skin doesn't like having mineral oil I would probably avoid this mask. :( I like that it's got two types of collagen and three types of seaweed in there.. But my main question is.. WHERE IS THE FUGU?! I can't see it in the ingredient list. The ones with scientific names that look like it may be fugu turns out to be seaweed.... T__T **I know it's fugu collagen and there are two kinds of collagen in the ingredient list. But that doesn't tell me specifically it came from fugu you know.. :(**
The mask is a two piece gel mask that is sitting in a really thick essence and has no discernible smell to it. Yay for no smell. But I think because of the thick essence, it kept on slipping off my face so I couldn't do much besides laying down.

The mask has two different textures/sides. One side is slightly rough and you can see the grid pattern while the other side is soft and squishy. I assumed the rough side is the outside and placed the squishy side to my face.
Excuse the quality. I had to take it on my friend's bathroom counter. :P
The mask was really short around my chin and jawline. After 30 minutes or so as it was starting to dry out above the lips. But there was still quite a bit of essence on my cheeks and the mask itself. So I just took off the bottom part and left the top mask on for another 30 minutes. Even then there was still a lot of essence on the mask itself so I just put it on my decolletage

The mask left my face feeling super sticky that wouldn't go away for a while. Though my face does look brighter and my pores appear to be smaller. The next day my face felt like there was a layer of moisture sitting on top of it. Such that when I try to pinch my skin, I can feel that layer of moister/something against my fingertips instead of my skin. It was weird but nice.

I wouldn't buy this mask again. Not at $9CAD and gotta admit, I am kind of sad it doesn't have any fugu extracts in there... :(

That's all the hydrogels I have tried in the last couple of months. I got quite a few more to try so I will post them sporadically. :P

Mini Rant - Memebox

So I started this blog to review all my Memebox. Now that they have gone crazy and decided to close their international shop and focus only on China, Korea, and United States. Thanks.. We Canadians really feel the love here..

Anyways.. The reason for my rant is that I am really displeased with the way they are handling everything. They gave the international buyers less than a month's notice that they are closing shop. They gave a little more than a month to cash out outstanding Memepoints. So a lot of people has been sending in their reviews for really old boxes so they can get some Memepoints back. In return, Memebox changed their review policy so people can't abuse the system. That's fine, I understand.

What I have a problem with is that I sent in two reviews on brand new boxes I just received and I STILL haven't gotten my points yet. I sent it in on February 6th, before they closed their international shop on the 10th. I was hoping they will get back to me in time so I could buy another Elizavecca set. Nope, Nada. I caved and bought it with whatever I had in my account. That's fine.. That's my decision... But fast forward to today, the 19th. I still have not seen those points in my account. The deadline to send in a withdrawal request to Paypal is tonight at 11:59PM PST. So.. I can't withdraw that amount because Memebox is dragging their feet.... And I am not alone in this, few people has complained they sent in their request weeks ago and haven't received it yet.

Yes, it's only $6 which is a small amount. Yes, I know with the hundreds, if not thousands of customers out there, Memebox is looking to pay out thousands of dollars. An amount that any business is unwilling to pay. But if you do not wish to give out review points as money, then as a business, you should have suspended the review system upon announcing the closing of the international shop. Do not leave customers, *excuse me* former customers, in the dark, waiting for their review points hoping they will get it in time. Honour the terms and conditions you as a company has put up! If you didn't want to pay it out, you should have said something, not drag your feet until time has run out. That's just a shady practice for a business. Yes, they made more than a few shady business moves, but this is the last straw. So now, even if Memebox is offering to the international community again, I will not be giving them a single penny. Nor would I recommend them to anyone.

So kids, if you are ever thinking about starting a business... Look at Memebox as an example of how NOT to run your successful business. Every move they made has turned their customers against them and flee to other companies. If the business folds, that would be their own doing.

Korean Beauty Starter Set - #Sampler Kit

What the hell Memebox?! That's not cool!! There was no info card in the box and you deleted the set from your website! How am I supposed to figure out what each of the items are and how to use them all?! I don't have photographic memory!!! Urg!

Luckily, Unboxing Beauty managed to find a picture of all the items so I was able to grab all the product descriptions.

Aside from the lack of info card, this was a very good box! It was $15 including shipping for all of these samples.

Elizavecca Skincare Set Season 2

Okay, so Memebox broke up with the rest of the world. So why am I still posting my boxes? Well.. I ordered my last two boxes using my review points and would like to post the items I got. So.. I am not helping promote Memebox but rather posting about the items I have received.

This is the Elizavecca Skincare Set Season 2, it was on sale for $48 with free shipping. It's now reduced by $3 to $45 with free shipping. I was slightly sad on missing out on set #1 where they had the snail cream. I was contemplating whether to get it or not as it's only 4 items and it's quite expensive at $48. Plus, I already have the Water Coating Aqua Brightening Mask. But after looking into how much the Hyaluronic Acid and Galacytomyces Essence retails for, and a 10% off value set coupon from Memebox. I decided to bite the bullet and use up all of my review points for this box.

First impression: The Hyaluronic Acid is HUGE!

Memebox - Goodbye~~

Well, surprising news came from Memebox today. On their Facebook, they announced they will only serve countries where they have local offices. So that means, starting February 11th, Memebox will only ship to USA, China and Korea. The other countries they currently serve will only have until February 10th to place their last orders. After that, it's so long, goodbye and good luck to the rest of the world!

It's disappointing news to say the least. Memebox was the easiest and best way to get started in Korean skincare. It was so easy to pick a theme, and have someone else pick out items for you to try. There were hits and misses. Lately it's been more misses than not, but it was a fun experience. I sunk a lot more money into Memebox in the last 6 months than I have ever spent on skincare in my whole life. So you can say I really liked Memebox. Though to be honest, my level of purchase has dropped significantly since I started to receive really disappointing boxes. I think I only bought 4 boxes since November and only one was paid with money.

I am sad I no longer have the option to get a mystery skincare box from Memebox but I can't say I am extremely upset over it.

I have been shaking my head at them since October and hence the unintentional low buy.

  1. Their quality has gone down, the number of items has gone down, yet their prices has gone up significantly.
  2. They do not communicate any changes with their customers. Especially the lack of communication regarding the lack of boxes.
  3. Breaking down the Cutie Pie Marzia #2 box and stuffing it in the boxes, ie My Cute Wishlist #4, K-Style #4. This did not go well with those with K-style #4. Seriously, if we wanted CPM #2, which was sold unboxed, we would have bought it months ago instead of having 2-3 items in our new boxes.
  4. Sending out boxes that are clearly warehouse clear out instead of matching the theme. I been fortunate not to buy most of them. But I did get a couple of items that expires soon. Namely the A.H.C serums and the Shara Shara balms. Not cool, because I, among others, don't appreciate being forced to switch our routines to use up the expired items first.
  5. Pushing out Memebox's own brand items when customers has been asking for more boxes and ignoring it. I have heard the products are pretty good, but the fact that they decided to push their own products without any new boxes or communications regarding it. It makes me really bitter toward the Memebox products and would not spend a dollar towards it.
  6. Misleading advertising. Advertising a big box party with boxes that never showed up. Or advertising free shipping when the items had an extra $7 added into it.
  7. The laughable VIP program and incentives. The perks used to be so great and now it's dwindled down to 3 US only coupons and 1 international coupon.
  8. Changes to the affiliate codes. It used to be $5 off any balance, now it's $3 off orders above $30.
  9. Oh,let's not forget the restocks at middle of the night instead of stacking it so people around the world would not miss out on deals. Or holding a box in a customer's cart so they can successfully check out without the fear of losing out on it.
Instead of trying to remedy these problems in order to retain customers. Memebox decided to stop shipping internationally and lose a majority of their revenue. This is basically against everything I learned! It makes no sense to ignore customers and make them angry. It makes no sense to keep the company away from a source of profit. From what I heard, US customers are ordering from the international shops as the deals are better. So I wonder how Memebox US will do financially without the support of the international customesr.

I am sad I am parting ways with Memebox, though that just allows me to spend my money at new shops. So.. Thank you for the good times Memebox. I am glad you initiated the break up so I don't have to be the bad guy. I don't wish for you to fail as a business, in fact, I wish for you to thrive as a business. But you are doing everything to drive your business to the grounds. So I wish you luck in your future adventures and know that I will be not be back once you are ready to offer international shipping again.

Memebox Special #48 Rose Edition

I saved the best box for the last! I received the Rose Edition quite a while ago but I decided to save it as it is my absolute favourite box. It would be the best way to end my Memebox collection. I don't have any more boxes coming in.

The Rose Edition is a box that I have been drooling over ever since the unboxing photos started to show up. I really like the items and I managed to snag one during the Black Friday restocks! I am super happy about it! Because it is the last box post in a while, there will be special appearances by a special guest. ^__-

Memebox #73 Brigten & Correct

This is the last Memebox I received, but I still got one last box to review. I am saving my favourite for the last.

The Brighten & Correct was $23 + 6.99 shipping. It contains 5 items, including another serum that is due to expire within a year.

Memebox Superbox #81 - 1st Anniversary Box

Can't believe it! Memebox is already a year old! I came to the game too late, so I thought I HAD to get the anniversary box to celebrate their first year anniversary!

The box was $29 + 6.99 shipping. The box took a while to get to me but I am glad to receive it before Christmas. I have to say, for an anniversary box, this is kind of a let down. I would have thought Memebox would have curated a much better box than this.

Memebox Special #81 - The Next Best Thing in Skin Care

I love skincare boxes, that is pretty much why I started with Memebox. Well, that and cute items. So when they released the Next Best Thing box, I HAD to get it!

The box was $23 + 6.99 shipping. It took forever to ship to me as it was sent to customs for inspection for a while. But I was very happy to receive it! It even included a Mememask as a bonus item!

This is also one of the first boxes that comes with an electronic product card instead of a paper one.

Memebox Superbox #78 Dirty Gal

I had to buy this box since this was created based on the suggestion by a MUT member Jane George. You can visit her blog here. She requested that the box contains products that requires you to get dirty before you can get clean. It is such an interesting concept and seem like there would be different textures so I had to get it!

The box was $32 + 6.99 shipping. It is one of the more expensive boxes but I was more than happy that I ordered it based on the spoiler. The spoiler item was a snail cream from Dr. MJ. I love snail cream :D So this box is an automatic win!

Memebox Special #67 Blackout!

Happy holidays!! Hope everyone had a good holiday season!

This post has been long delayed. It's on the Black Out! box which was received at the same time as Petite Treasure. This box was $19 + $6.99 shipping.

Due to the lower cost to the box, this only contains four items. I was hoping to receive a black mask, specifically the Elizavecca Black Piggy foaming mask. But unfortunately I didn't get my wish. Oh well. The box isn't bad.

Memebox Special #66 Petit Treasures

Alright, back onto the blogging bus. I decided to start with the boxes that disappointed me first and then end with the good boxes so I can end on a happy note with Memebox.

Petit Treasure was $19 + $6.99 shipping. A normal box is $23 so there is a $4 dollar difference. There was not much clue in the number of items will be included or its size.

Memebox's description for the box was:
Yes, we know. We're going overhead with our cute cosmetic obsession. But, what can we say? We've discovered another batch of rare but beautiful treasures that will give you an A+ in beauty, and this time, they're all miniature! So petite and cute, yet so intense and effective, these beautifying trinkets will fit your makeup pouch so that you can stay beautiful everyday and everywhere.

Up your game in beauty with petite beauty treasures!

I seen the spoiler before receiving my box so I knew its contents and had very low expectations. Yet when I received my box, I couldn't help but feel even more disappointed. It was in the smallest Memebox and it was light as a feather. It had four items and I guess it kind of does fit the description. The items are small and cute. But it's still disappointing.

Memebox Special #55 OMG 4

Memebox's OMG series is supposed to include products that will shock you and make you go "OMG!" when you open the box. I liked the OMG 3 box I received, primarily the Migabee Beetox cream. So when I needed to make up a large order to use up a 20% code in October, I decided to invest in the OMG 4 box. This box is DEFINITELY OMG worthy, but not for the right reason.

The box was $29 + $6.99 standard shipping. It was shipped on November 18th and received on November 26th. It only took 8 days including the weekend so it came through really quick for standard shipping.

Memebox Thanksgiving Box Collection #2 For You

As mentioned in the previous Thanksgiving box post. This box was released in November and since I could not decide on which box to pick, I got both. The box cost $26 + $6.99 shipping. It took 7 days to arrive at my office and into my happy little hands.

I liked quite a few items in the first box and there are a couple of items I really like in this box!

Memebox Thanksgiving Box Collection #1 For Me

There was such a Memebox drought in November that when they released the Thanksgiving box, it sold out almost immediately. I was bored and wanted new boxes, and I couldn't decided which box to get so I bought the bundle. The box was $26 each + $6.99 shipping.

I had it mailed to my office so I can sign for it without risking the dreaded pick up slip. The package was mailed on November 18th and I received it on the 25th. The box was delayed a day as Canada Post apparently had a problem with the office's postal code. Though the package had the correct postal code so I have no idea why they decided to delay it another day. But whatever. I was very happy to receive the bright orange boxes at lunch time! (A month after the Canadian Thanksgiving but oh wells :D)

Nellafantasia Honey 1 Snail Ultra Moisture Cream

In one of the sampling events in October/November, the Nellafantasia Honey 1 Snail Ultra Moisture Cream was featured as one of the products. Imagine my surprise when Canada Post knocked on my door at 8PM delivering a small package from Memebox on a day that I was not expecting any packages. I actually won! I won the snail cream! I was excited because it sounded like a really good moisturizer. The cream is supposed to improve the dryness of your skin while brightening your skin tone. It is to improve your skin's elasticity and getting rid of your winkles.

Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence

So during the Memebox drought in November, I decided to purchase the Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence along with the Ciracle Red Spot Cream. I heard that it is a great product to use on troubled skin, especially those with acne problems. I bought it with my brother in mind but I ended up keeping it. I have heard of the contamination problems they had before but I have heard pretty good recent reviews and decided to take the plunge. I did keep in mind that I would do a patch test before using it on my face.

Ciracle Red Spot Cream

During the November drought of Memeboxes,I got bored and decided to buy Benton Snail Essence. I did not want to pay for shipping so I had to choose another item to make it to $30 for free shipping. I was considering the Ciracle Red Spot Cream as I have read great reviews from different blogs. I was hesitant as I didn't want to spend so much on my brother's skincare routine. :P I was convinced by Fanserviced and her Instagram post raving about this product. I had to get it for my brother and his constant angry red spots.

I purchased the cream on November 6, it shipped out on November 14 and received on November 24. I am kind of surprised it took over a week for the item to ship out as it was listed as an ready to ship item. Oh well.

Memebox Special #57 - For Dry & Sensitive Skin

I purchased Memebox Special #57 For Dry & Sensitive Skin in a bundle with My Cute Wishlist #4. The box sounded like it would be mostly skincare so I was all game for it. It was $29 + shipping.

I am not sure what I was expecting from the box besides some skincare items. What I actually received was quite a disappointment despite having no expectations.
Read on to see why I am so disappointed with the box.
