Memebox Special #42 - OMG 3

As mentioned in the previous post, I bought the OMG 3 in a bundle with My Cute Wishlist #3 from Membox. The bundle cost $58.99USD including $6.99USD for shipping. The box alone cost $29USD plus $3.50USD for shipping. The bundle shipped via express post so I received it in 5 days.

The box contains 5 full sized items. It includes Cleomee''s Three-Layer Perfume Donkey Oil Mist, which was released as the spoiler item.

On the Body Makgeolli Soap 85g ($12)

The soap is made from makgeolli, a white rice wine made from fermented rice, wheat and water. Its benefit was not stated clearly in the info card besides the fact that it contains lactic acid, fiber, vitamins and the good bacteria found in yogurt.

My entire box has a strong medicinal smell and I suspect it is from the soap. The usage of the soap seems a little on the complicated side. You are supposed to wash your face with water first before rolling the soap on your face to create bubbles. Then you are to massage it into the skin and pat your face to make sure it soaks deep into the skin. After all that you can rinse off the soap from your face.

I don't use bar soaps so I will pass it off to my brother or give it away.

Cleomee Three-Layer Perfume Donkey Oil Mist 100ml ($59)

First of all, the pump on the bottle came off in two pieces when I received it. You can see it in the box picture, the two pieces are separated slightly. Thankfully I put it back together and it seems to be working fine. 

The oil mist is a fragrant triple layer of milk and oil body mist. It is supposed to provide a moisture surge due to the inclusion of donkey oil and donkey milk. 

I tested the perfume on my arm and the smell is okay. I can't pinpoint what the smell is exactly. The oil takes a little time to be absorbed into the skin. After 20 minutes my skin no longer feels wet upon touch but there is a layer of oil on my hand and arm.. Yikes..  

Migabee Bee Venom & Honey Cream 50ml ($54)

I was excited to try this! I never tried anything that had bee venom in it! This was my OMG item! 

The cream is rich in bee venom, royal jelly, propolis, and honey. It moisturizes the skin, brighten the complexion and treat fine lines and wrinkles.

 I tried the cream and not sure if I liked the product. Though to be honest I only used it once. It did not feel as moisturizing as the Elizavecca Water Coating mask. It had a light smell that evaporated after I put it on. It made my skin feel silky but not very soft. I am so used to having my face feel super soft and silky after leaving on the Elizavecca mask. I will give it another try to see if I will get better results.

Tonymoly Delight Tint Crayon 06 Neon Pink 2.8g ($8, $5.73 + Shipping)

Another bright pink lip tint! NO!! Three out of three lip tints I received from Memebox is bright pink. Just my luck. I would have liked some variations of colours.. Sigh. . Here is hoping I will get another colour in the next box.

 The lip crayon is touted to be the only Delight Tint Crayon that grows in the dark. It is supposed to turn into hot neon pink under strobe light. Really?! It's not pink enough?!

I am unsure as the longevity of the lip colour as the swatch on my hand came off easily.

Tosowoong Platinum Miracle Skin Pore Tightening Pack 150ml ($19, $15.50) 

This pore tightening pack act as contains platinum gold powder and tea tree oil. It is to be applied as a mask on your face and it will gently remove blackheads and impurities from the pores as well as tightening pores. I have seen swatches and it appears to be a brown mask.. That is awfully close to poop colour.. Oh well.. The things we do for beauty. Or in this case, the things my brother is forced to use to get rid of his zits. 

Edit: I tried the mask tonight and I finally discovered what caused the smell in the box! It's the mask! The mask smell weird out of the tube but smells okay on the skin. It looks like chocolate/poop but when it goes on the skin, it has a dark brown red colour, like a dark brick. The mask dries out within 10 minutes and is supposed to be rinsed off with lukewarm water. I would recommend applying it right before a shower. So you can wash it off in the shower. I used a towel to wash off the mask and it stained the washcloth. So you are warned!

The products add up to $146.23 for $32.50. I just question the actual price of the donkey mist as I was only able to find listings of it on Alibaba. Oh well. Overall, the box was kind of a meh box for me. Many others like it but I will only use one, maybe two items out of the 5 items which makes the box kind of meh.
