Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence

So during the Memebox drought in November, I decided to purchase the Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence along with the Ciracle Red Spot Cream. I heard that it is a great product to use on troubled skin, especially those with acne problems. I bought it with my brother in mind but I ended up keeping it. I have heard of the contamination problems they had before but I have heard pretty good recent reviews and decided to take the plunge. I did keep in mind that I would do a patch test before using it on my face.

It's funny because I received this essence just a few days before my friend, but she ordered from eBay instead of Memebox. Hers arrived frozen and mine arrived perfectly fine. Kind of funny.

The bottle is brown but clear so I can see the essence in the bottle. I can see no cloudiness, only bubbles. The essence has not distinctive smell and it doesn't feel slimy at all. It comes out similar to a gel. But when you rub it in, it is quite watery. The essence is absorbed quickly into my skin without leaving any stickiness.

I have been doing patch testing and had no reactions to it. I actually had a bad cold where my upper lip area was really sore and dry, despite using tissue with lotion. I used some of the Azulene gel from While You Were Sleeping to calm down the redness. However, the area was still very dry and irritated. So I decided to use some of the essence to provide some moisture and calm it right down. I was surprised how well the essence worked! Just the next day, my skin is already much less irritated and more moisturized.

I really like this product, it does what it says it would. It calmed down my irritated skin while moisturizing it. It is not as moisturizing as some of my other moisturizers but it does provide sufficient moisture level. It is worth the $15 price tag on Memebox, but without free shipping it would be cheaper to buy it from somewhere else. (It was on sale with free shipping for Black Friday but is sold out now. When it comes back in stock I would assume it is without the free shipping option.) If you live in the US, Amazon has it for sale for $11.49 + free shipping. If you are an international customer, various online Korean stores has it on sale for around $11 + shipping. I would recommend the product to those who wants to have help against their troubled skin, but definitely do a patch test before you use it.
