Memebox Thanksgiving Box Collection #1 For Me

There was such a Memebox drought in November that when they released the Thanksgiving box, it sold out almost immediately. I was bored and wanted new boxes, and I couldn't decided which box to get so I bought the bundle. The box was $26 each + $6.99 shipping.

I had it mailed to my office so I can sign for it without risking the dreaded pick up slip. The package was mailed on November 18th and I received it on the 25th. The box was delayed a day as Canada Post apparently had a problem with the office's postal code. Though the package had the correct postal code so I have no idea why they decided to delay it another day. But whatever. I was very happy to receive the bright orange boxes at lunch time! (A month after the Canadian Thanksgiving but oh wells :D)

**Prices listed are from product card unless otherwise stated**
Clio Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip #22 Electric 3.5g ($10)
Product Description: A pop orange under daylight, Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip in #22 Electric transforms into a glow-in-the-dark electric orange under blue LED lights. Its feathery lightweight formula glides onto lips smoothly and steins it with the color radiance and adherence of a matte lipstick. Plus, its vivid color formation is based on safflower components which were used as natural lip steins by Korean geishas back in the days.

Thoughts:This was a spoiler item and most people was not happy about how orange it is. I was just happy to receive some other colour other than BRIGHT PINK.
One coat (left), two coat (right)
The lipstick looks orange on the spoiler picture but it is more of an orange red shade. I did a swatch on the back of my hand and it's a gorgeous shade of red. I would say it looks more like an red tone than orange. I love this colour on me! It adds just a pop of colour onto my lips without being too outrageous. I am looking at all you bright pink lip tints! This is a great colour and I am so excited to use it for those special occasions where I do put on makeup.

Jaminkyung Gokmul Care Ultra Ampoule Toner 110ml ($46 $36.35 + shipping)
Product Description: Jaminkyung is a Korean natural cosmetics company with its brand value set on achieving 'lasting beauty' through a combination of naturally-derived quality ingredients and its safe & effective manufacturing technology. The Gokmul Care Ultra Ampoule Toner is a 2 phase essence type toner with a blend of lightweight, whole grain-infused toner and deeply nourishing camellia oil in a 6:4 golden ratio. It will deliver a rich moisture boost while controlling the moisture/oil balance for dry, sensitive skin.

Thoughts: This a two layer toner with the top layer being the oil layer and the bottom being the water layer. It only takes a couple of shakes to mix up the oil and water layers into a soy milk looking solution.

There is a plug on the toner so it would not be exposed to air until you are ready to use it. I am happy with my Hallabong toner and kind of ordered a lot of toners so I am not planning to use it for a while. Just based on the smell seeping through, it has a flowery but milky smell. It kind of reminds me of coconut milk. So tempted to open it but since it has an expiry date of 2016 I will put it away until I am ready to use it.

803 803 Cream 50g ($34)
Randomly selected from 803 Palzza Cream, 803 Sam N cream, 803 Young Cream
Product Description: The 803 cream series is specifically designed so that each cream targets different parts of the face. They're all enriched with shea butter, adenosine, adipophilin, niacinamide, and borphilin which have effective skin brightening and firming functions. The Palzza Cream works to firm up and fill in the deepening 'smile lines' that run from nose down to corners of mouth. The Sam N Cream targets dry, sagging neckline with a blend of purified caffeine and collagen extracts The Young Cream is a moisture booster for face and body.

Thoughts: I got the 803 Palzza cream which is specifically targeted for the smile lines. I am weird but I think smile lines are proof that you smiled lots in your life. I can understand why people don't like it as it does ages you. I think I rather receive the Young Cream for all over the body usage instead of just the smile lines.

The cream is quite thick and feels really moisturizing. I put some on my smile lines and it is absorbed quickly. I find the cream's smell really distracting. It is strong and funny smelling. Since it goes near my nose, I hate having it on. I had it on for a good 10-15 minutes and the smell really bothers me. Along with the Tonymoly bunny stick, I am starting to get a headache. Urg. Will probably give this cream to my mom instead.

Sally's Box 4Set [Love Recipe Apple Mask 20ml + Delight Panthenol Hydrogel Mask 25g + Delight Ceramide Hydrogel Mask 25g + Delight Collagen Hydrogel Mask 25g] ($13)
Product Description: The Love Recipe Apple mask is enriched with abundant apple extracts for soothing and balancing out rough skin texture and delivering moisture and nutrition into the skin. The 3 Delight Hydrogel masks are made from the 'garden complex' containing more than 10 herbal ingredients from Mother Nature and each work to deeply hydrate, firm up and relieve coarse, thirsty skin.

Thoughts: I heard great things about Sally's box masks, especially the hydrogel masks. I am happy to receive all three of the hydrogel masks. Since I am drowning in Etude masks, I am holding onto these masks until a day that I really need moisture boost.

Tonymoly Hello Bunny Perfume Bar 02 9g ($11)
Product Description: A stick-type perfume bar packaged into a lovely bunny design. It's infused with a top note of lemon citrus, a middle note of frisia and white rose, and a bottom note of sandalwood and musk.

Thoughts: This thing is so cute! I saw it in Sasa HK store a few years ago and was so tempted to buy it. But I couldn't justify buying something just because it is cute and not because I will use it. So I am glad that Memebox included it in the Thanksgiving box.

This is a stick perfume that you rub on your wrist or behind the ears. It is supposed to smell like lemon citrus, frisia, white rose, sandalwood and musk. But the first smell that hit my nose was glue stick. That's weird right? Then it was just an overwhelming strong perfume that hurts my nose. I can't stop smelling the glue stick on top of everything.

I think this perfume bar actually expired. The bottom of the tube is really jumbled due to the usual manufacturer's sticker of the selection and the expiry date. From what I can decipher, it was produced in 2010 and expired in July 2014. I may be wrong but it definitely seemed like it. I mean it is a perfume bar so even if it expired you can still use it. But the smell will be different, maybe that is why I keep on smelling glue stick.

EDIT: I took another look at the picture and I still can't make heads or tails about which way is up and which way is down. But either way, it doesn't look good for the stick. I think the top picture is the correct way up as the 2 looks more like a 2 and the Korean on the second line actually looks like Korean. IF that is the correct way to read it, then this was produced in 2008. If the bottom picture if the correct way up, which I kind of doubt due to the way the 2 looks. Then it was produced in 2010. Either way.. this product is at least 4 years old. :(

EDIT #2: I took another look at the pictures and the tube. I think the top picture is most likely the proper way to look at it. I think the top row is a batch number and the bottom is the production date? Which means my initial reaction was wrong. The perfume was produced in 2014. I sent an inquiry to Memebox so we will see what they say back. It's really crappy for Tonymoly to print the production/expiry date so jumbled.

EDIT #3: I just heard back from Arthur, who explained that the production date is September 20. 2014. So I was being an idiot and can't read the jumbled up sticker properly.

Ariul Stress Relieving Purefull Cleansing Foam 75ml ($8)
Product Description: Abundant, cream-like foam bubbles penetrates deep into your pores, cleansing away any makeup residues, skin impurities, blackheads, and dead sin cells piled up and leaving your skin freshly cleaned, moist, and brighter overall.

Thoughts: This is a repeat item. I remember seeing this cleanser in an unboxing of a previous box. I can't remember which box it is exactly but it is a repeat item. Oh well, a cleanser is a cleanser. In addition to toners and masks, I am also drowning in cleansers so I will either keep it or give it away as a present. Probably the latter as it is the giving season.

Pisteo Bright & Pure C Serum 7ml ($25 $21.75 + shipping)
Product Description: Made up of pure Vitamin C concentrates this tiny bottle of nutrients will replenish moisture balance, firm up fine wrinkles, and brighten overall complexion with continuous application.

Thoughts: I would call this as a deluxe sample as it is a single item. The full sized item is four tubes of the serum. I like how the side of the serum has markings to tell you how much to use each day. I love my serum and ampoule right now so I am saving it for when I am done my serum. I am also scared to use it and fall in love with it.. I can't afford such an expensive serum...

Overall Thoughts: The box is a nice surprise as I expected it to be full of repeat items. I am absolutely in love with the Clio lip tint so that make up the entire box for me. The overall product cost is $134.10 + shipping. That is a pretty good value for a box that I had little expectation to. No wonder this is called For Me. It definitely is a box for the Memeaddicts who have purchased a few boxes and is looking for new items to try.
